Artwork Specifications
Press-Ready Art
Digital "Press-Ready" files may be submitted on floppy disk, CD, or
100MB Iomega Zip disk. Files may also be emailed to our art department. There
are no charges for the preparation of properly constructed digital files. Our
pre-press department is Macintosh™-based. Acceptable document types are Adobe
Illustrator v8 (preferred), Macromedia Freehand v8, EPS, and TIFF (of sufficient
resolution). Please include all essential placed objects and fonts, or convert
all type to paths or outlines before submitting. A clean "hard copy"
or laser print of your document showing color breaks and final product size, as
well as any special instructions, should also be included. The e-mail address

Camera-Ready Art
Although digital files are preferred, "Camera-Ready" art is also accepted.
We request sharp-high-resolution black and white reproductions on gloss paper
or PMT with color separations clearly marked and to 100% finished product size.
Fax transmissions are NOT camera-ready. On Screen Plus reserves the right to decline
camera-ready artwork based on overall quality.
Proofs
Our pre-press department will send, at no cost, black and white laser proofs on
any new, or repeat with copy change orders. Black and white proofs are available
only upon request on exact repeat or camera-ready supplied orders. Color swatch
proofs are also available at no charge. Press proofs are available at $125.00
upon written request by the customer. NOTE: All proofs must be approved in writing
before the production can proceed with any order.
Additional Charges
Files or artwork received for production that require additional work due to insufficient
data or is not considered "press-ready" will be subject to additional
charges. No work will be performed until the customer has been notified of the
scope of the work required and has agreed upon such charges for the work performed.
Addtional fees are outlined as follows:
Generating Artwork
The fee for generating artwork from scratch is $65.00 per hour. We are more than
happy to create a design for you or assist in the design process. We will provide
you with a fair and competitive quote for your consideration.
Copy Changes
The fee for minor copy changes to existing art is $20.00
Separations
Artwork files received that contain basic design elements and outlines, but require
color separations and trapping to be performed by our art department will be charged
$35.00 per color for spot color separations. Four Color Process jobs are subject
to a first-run only separation charge of $175.00.
Color Match
On Screen Plus stocks many standard screen print colors ready for use. However,
if your printing requirements do not allow variations or substitues, On Screen
Plus can match your color spec. There is a $20.00 fee per color for color matching.
On Screen Plus cannot guarantee perfect color match.
